Our program is an expensive program, primarily because of the extremely low teacher/child and therapist/child ratios and the number of times these interactions occur in a given week.  This intensive application of early professional intervention, however, is the reason the program is so successful.

Our Guilford County public school system donates space, utilities, and many other in-kind resources.  In addition, we have a substantial cash budget ($700,000 for the current year), more than 92% of which is for therapists and classroom salaries and benefits.   United Way is our largest cash funder.  We also receive Medicaid payments and have endowment earnings.  The balance of approximately $100,000 must be raised through various efforts, including generous contributions from individuals.

We need and will welcome your help!  Here are three ways to provide that help:

First, donate!

To give online,

(Online gifts are secure; your credit card information is encrypted using industry standard Secure Sockets Layering technology).

To donate by mail, or to do so in memory of or in honor of someone,

(Gifts to us are tax deductible)

Second, instead of receiving gifts on birthdays and holidays, ask your family and friends to make a donation in your honor.  In return, we’ll send them an “honor card” similar to those below thanking them for their contribution.  Just give them this website address and page title!

Third, tell others about this website, especially friends who have or institutions which care for severely disabled infants and toddlers.  And if you know of another website that describes a similarly successful program, send its address to our webmaster.  The opportunity to share resource information, program descriptions, and success stories can provide a real ray of hope as well as very useful ideas to caregivers of these special children.
